Originals and remakes

Since this is the month Halloween is in, there are a lot of Halloween type movies showing on TV. The other day I seen were a lot of Steven King movies were showing on one channel. I have always liked Steven King mivies myself. I remember when the movies such as Cujo, Misery, Silver Bullet, Children of the Corn, just to name a few came out The very first one that I seen was Carrie.
The movie Carrie came out in 1976, so when I seen there was the remake showing on TV , I desided to sit and watch it. The remake had came out in 2013 and I had never seen it. All in all I would say the remake was decent, but I still like the original better. The one thing about the remake though is the fact that it is made in modern times. So what the other students did to Carrie seemed even more cruel. This is in he times were everyone has a cell phone and recorded eveything and put it online. Then when it came to the prom, the insident in the bathroom was showen on two big screens for everyone to see. With that happening, along with the blood being poured on her, yea, I could understand her reaction.
Have you seen both the original and the remake, if so, what do you think?

Most of the time I do like a lot of the original version better, all though I have seen some movies were the remake was a whole lot better the original one.

I have not seen the remake and wont hurry to do so.
Like you I am sure I would prefer the original.

The remake is worth watching, it gives you a newer take on it.

I haven't seen the original but I saw the remake and I liked it. I think doing remakes are good because theres movies that I had interest in but never watched then seeing the remake with modern times makes me wanna see originals more to see how different they are.

Yea, you should check it out, that is if you can watch older movies. Being you seen the remake first there might be a chance that you like the remake better, expessually since the original one was made so long ago.

Yea, I just think for one thing to me Sissy Spacek and the woman that played her mother did a better job.
