When a person needs to get help

Last night I recieved a call from my sister-in-law. As we were talking I asked her about one of her grand daughters and how she was doing. Her grand daughter had been staying with one of her daughters and finally got a place of her own, along with her boyfriend and child. What she told me really broke my heart, she said that her grand daughter is not doing very good right now, that she has been taking pills and useing meth. I just can't understand what leads a person down this path. Years ago,when she was real young, she lost her mother because of drugs, her drug use was mainly cocain and pills. She had always told her grandmother that she didn't want to end up like her mother. I don't know what caused her to go down this path, but I sure hope she gets help. I know others that are ether dealing with this now, or have dealt with it in the past. It's a sad situation all away around.
