It’s Not Always An Option

Moving from one state to another, some of us have medical issues that make travel difficult if not impossible, others have families they can’t uproot for whatever reason. I stated earlier that I just had a friend come here from Maine, she cane because her Mom bought her the plane ticket and I told her she could spend a couple of weeks here, she’s disabled as well so uprooting under those circumstances, with medical issues is not easy. She ended up with nothing but issues when she went to Maine with the medical care, so yes for everyone moving Is not an option!

I hope everything went well and she arrived at your place okay? In the news in the past years, some airlines are not too accommodation to wheelchair people so they complained in the news. It's so pitiful for they are disabled already, so it's not so easy for them to travel, but at times we all need to travel.

@oahuwriter She is staying in the area thankfully, so I’m grateful for that! She seems to be, it’s been pretty low key though!

I am a static person. It took me a year before I got comfortable in the suburban home.

I noticed this with my lovely mom. Sometimes I need to check her from time to time when traveling/.

For people with disabilities, moving can certainly be problematic and it would be great if there were agencies that could deal with this and make things easier for them

Moving from nation to another nation can be stressful as well since it took me at least one year to adjust living after leaving the former Canal Zone in Panama to living in Metairie Louisiana in 1978 which was one year before I would have graduated with the last class of Balboa High School in 1979.
