Patrick Swayze was born on August 18, 1952, and was an American actor, dancer, singer and songwriter. He received 3 Golden Globe nominations for Dirty Dancing, Ghost and To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar. In 1991 People Magazine named him the Sexiest Man Alive. He wrote and recorded She's Like the Wind (below) which was used in Dirty Dancing and became a Top 10 hit. He said his wife was the inspiration for the song.
