Some time ago I brought a large box of second hand books in a sale. There were so may of them that I just put them to one side because I knew it would take ages to sort them all out. Most of them have now been read and taken to the charity shop because although they are all very interesting very few are actually collectable and worth keeping. However I did find a copy of Poems and Stories by Tolkien. To begin, with I did not think very much of this book because it came in a plain black box with a boring label on the front. But after doing some research on it I found that this book was being sold on online auction sites and booksellers sites for between £99 and £170. The books being sold online look very similar to the copy that I own. I do not know what I would get if I tried to sell my copy, but one thing is for certain, I will not be letting this one go to the charity shop.
