I married a Dutch Mexican

... But first, I got my haircut and dyed. My aunt met me at the place that she had recently gotten hers done at. The color I chose was an electric blue and I really liked it. It made me smile to see my hair so brilliantly blue. It wasn't until we were leaving that I saw the guy. He approached me and my aunt and I tried to get away, I just wasn't in the mood to socialize. He was pretty persistent though, and before I knew it I was telling my aunt goodbye and that I would be safe. I promised to call her every few hours so she knew I was safe, then this guy and I were off. His accent was weird and so I asked him where he was from. He said his mother was from Mexico but his father was Dutch. He was in the US trying to buy supplies for his family, he planned to go back home soon. We got to talking and before I knew it, I was helping him find the things he needed, and apparently one of the things he needed was me. Yep, he proposed to me after only a few hours of knowing each other. I was a bit apprehensive but he convinced me that everything would be fine and we went down to the court house to be married. I talked to his family over the phone, and they were happy to know he was "settling down" and was happy to have another person to help with their business. I went to live with him and his family for a few months but I convinced his parents to sell us a car and we came back to the US. We plan to go down to help with the business every once in awhile though. Then I woke up I had thought I might write this dream out a little more creatively but I also figured it would require me to write several discussions to get the story written. Have you had a weird dream lately?

Oh my, what an incredible dream you had. I had a weird dream last night, pretty complicated, I remember that I was furious with our bankers, so I closed all the accounts of our clients and moved to another country. Weird dream, we are retired now and we do not work anymore with that bank and that officer.

That is odd. Did you ever have problems with that bank, enough that you would have wanted to change while still working? I find I dream things about past employment as it was a source of a lot of my stress and anxiety .If I am stressed and anxious now, I usually dream about those times.

@LadyDuck This is true. I had such problems with one bank that I closed my account. That bank has had a lot of bad press because of their dealings and practices.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Who never has problems when dealing every day with banks? We worked with several banks and we had minor problems with all of them.

Be wary of those Dutch-Mexicans; I hear they're partial to marrying electric blue girls in haste.

I thought it had everything to do with my new hair color! I'm glad I woke up with the same brunette-ish red.

I've had plenty of dreams about former bosses, mostly because they stressed me out. Do you think your boss was stressing you out in your dream?

@rakski Oh, I wonder if there is more stress on the doctors of this new department? Perhaps they are stressed and are rude / bring that stress onto you?

Some of my weird dreams include being at my former work in a pizza parlor doing cleaning up a store before going home.

A lot of my weird dreams involve former employment. I once dreamt that I was stocking shelves but we used robotic arms and fork lifts. It's funny what our subsconscious minds come up with.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That is so true since some my dreams include driving over the Bridge Of The Americas in Panama and being amazed about what the roads that led to the former U S military bases look like now.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I retuned to Panama in 1986 for a two week stay. I have looked up what the former Canal Zone looks like on You Tube channels and the Canal Zone Brats site.

Last night's dreams were kind of bad for me as well. I'm sorry you had a bad dream. Did you wake up upset?

@JustBhem I have had those types of dreams. I wake up and I am in tears because of what the dream was about. Sometimes out of fear even.

I like to write my dreams out in a way that makes people think they are real. After all, while dreaming it is real enough to me.

@Janet357 I have been married once. I may marry again, but it is not something I am looking for at the moment.

Sort of nice, I guess. I was happy in the dream, but I had to do a lot of hard work as well.

I want to pinch your butt for fooling me. All the while I thought it was an anecdote. You fooled me, wahuhuhu.

I used to do these dream type stories all the time. My favorite part is to wait until the end to tell people it was only a dream.

wow. My dream a few nights ago was that my uncle was a principal again of a school. He asked my mother to an advisor to the school. One school was named Hufflepuff (Yes still listening to Harry Potter). Then the dream changed. Chris (my fiance) was laying on his stomach on my bed. He wouldn't really talk to me. He had a huge cross tattoo on his back. I was trying to tell him that we needed to go back to school (I guess the same school in the first dream). I had on my gown (the gown I was actually wearing that night), but I took it off. Then I woke up.

That is a really odd dream. It's funny you should mention school. I know that mine was about school as well. I can't recall all of it though. When I read or watch a movie that I really like, it usually bleeds into dreams. I've had some HP dreams myself.

I have had weird dreams but not lately. Some of my weird dreams have been premonitions.

Oh yes, I have premonition type dreams as well. If I wake up and the dream involves travelling with people I love, I call them and tell them about it. The last time I didn't tell someone about a dream, their car broke down on the highway.
