How about a working breakfast?

I just finished a massive editing project for a graduate study center based in UP. It took me 3 weeks to copy edit all 300+ pages. I enjoyed it so much i didn't want the book to end! Lol Anyway, here's a picture of my 'working breakfast.' I start work promptly at 8am and take breaks throughout the day. I'm thankful I'm able to work from home and in my jammies.

It's so good to have a job at home, so you can stop and eat when you like. I had a big fried rice yesterday. I added some zucchini slices, onions, bacon bits and leftover brown rice. It was so good!

Zucchini and bacon together sounds delish.

It is surely a great advantage to be able to work at home without the need to dress to go to the office.

Indeed. Though I miss going to coffee shops for business meetings. I used to do that a lot back when I was freelancing in Manila. But since I've moved to a province, I have been limited by time and horrendous traffic.

@almostoveryou You live a healthier life, the traffic causes pollution that is very bad for our health.

@LadyDuck true. I wouldn't trade traffic and pollution for a heftier paycheck.

Wow! You must be a very good editor. Oh but you wouldnt enjoy your breakfast if you are distracted and working at the same time.

@yoalldudes it helps that both my girls are in school already. It was hard to freelance when they were toddlers.

Sounds like you had a lot of work to complete.........That sounds like a cool project though, if you enjoy reading. I usually eat oatmeal in the morning. It's quick and simple.

it's a compendium of various researches so it's quite voluminous.

i would love to do that, too. do you just check spelling, punctuation, capitalization and paragraphs? or do you also do fact-checking, the flow of the topic, restructure sentences, substitute words, etc?

i do all of those except fact-checking as this publication has been peer reviewed by colleagues in their industry. but i do bother to verify web sources in the references list. :)
