My father in law who’s been living in NY for a long time got into a car accident yesterday. We got a call from his wife calling my wife to inform her of his condition. It was shocking to know that he didn’t got any serious physical injuries but he got major internal bleeding in his brain causing him to be in comatose. He is 80 years old and was driving home when they say his car swerved suddenly and bump his car. Doctors said he had stroke that caused him to lost consciousness. He is currently in ICU at the moment and under observation.

Thanks I hear he is still unresponsive to this day but I am still hoping that he can get over this situation. We were able to visit him last 2018 and he was still in his tiptop condition at his age of 80 he can still drive and even drove us around the city. We were just shocked to see him like this.

@JudyEv We were not expecting something like this to happen and the developments that is coming from their side are not that positive. With the distance between us and theirs it really is very distressing that we cannot just go there. My wife is contemplating going there on her own.

Oh that's too bad because of his age. It's sad when an accident would harm the innocent.

@Alexandoy That is really true. Although were not blood related I can feel the sadness that my wife is going through. She being not able to be there physically is excruciatingly painful to see her like that

Hope your father-in-law gets over this "hump" and that your wife (and probably you too) can book a flight soonest to visit him and provide comfort to your mother-in-law.
