So I'm curious if anyone here watched last night's two hour episode of Survivor. I did with my family and I have to say that I was appalled.
Kellie seriously felt uncomfortable around Dan and his touching. Now Dan, in my opinion, is too touchy but then again I'm not a touchy person especially if I don't know you. Apparently, her feelings of discomfort were strong enough the Survivor had to have a talk with both Dan and the women about it.
I get that. It was handled pretty decent and that's fine. Sad that we're in a society that you need to actually put up on the screen during the show that this happened and you can't just trust that the issue was taken care of but, that's a different story.
What really makes me livid is the fact that two women did not feel uncomfortable with Dan. They were perfectly fine with everything but because it would further their game more, they chose to take Kellie's story and jump on it.
Elizabeth and Missy not only jumped on it and said yeah, they feel uncomfortable as well, let's vote him out but they roped Janet in. They got Janet to feel like they were extremely upset with Dan and that they wanted him out because of it. So Janet changed her whole game plant to do what she felt was morally right.
Let's keep compounding the issue. After tribal, after Kellie was voted out, Janet wanted to talk...understandably. When she told Dan what she had been told and how the girls came up to her. He didn't really believe her. He went to talk to the girls and the girls DENIED everything.
Fast forward to the next tribal and when Janet said something yet again because this was the subject for about an hour and a half of the show, the girls denied it yet again.
Dan was visibly upset, he was genuinely sorry if he made anyone uncomfortable. Although it was kind of a rude apology but still, he was upset. Janet was upset because here she took a stand on something and not only are they calling her a liar but they're making her the villain of the story. She was actually thinking about leaving the game.
Aaron's response to this was ridiculous. If he knew about it like he said and from the sound of what he said he did know, then he should be just as ashamed. That would mean he knew that the girls were fine and they were using it as a play.
I'm so very disappointed and angry and just so many things at this episode. Survivor has gotten worse over the past few years. It's become political and just stupid. I mean you get on the island and you're already plotting the merge and final three when you don't even know anyone. Then you wonder why you loose.
Anyone else have an opinion about last night?
Please be civil to each other, that's all I ask.
