Day 102 Promise 133 2 Chronicles 7:12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice. 13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place. Have you prayed and it seemed like God didn’t hear? What did you do? Did you give up on God or seek answers to why your prayer went unanswered. Solomon dedicated the temple he built to God and asked God to watch over His people and bless them. He also asked God to forgive the people when they sinned and confessed their sin as they prayed to God at the temple in Jerusalem. God promised Solomon He would watch over His people and the temple he built. He told Solomon if His people humbled themselves and prayed when they realized their sin, then He would hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. As Christians, you are familiar with this verse but have you paid attention to what God said. He said IF His people, called by HIS name, HUMBLED themselves, PRAYED, SOUGHT His FACE, AND Turned From Their Wicked Ways, THEN He would hear them, forgive them, and heal the land. A lot goes into this promise God gave Solomon. The people had to be willing to repent of their sin. If they weren’t, God would not forgive them. It is only when you realize the depth of your sin, and how far you strayed from God, and fully repent of your sin with a contrite heart, that God will forgive, heal, and hear you. God’s part is easy. Your part is hard. You need to humble yourself. You need to admit your sin. You need to admit how wrong you were toward God and what He required of you. Being humble isn’t easy. It takes a total surrender of who you are to God. There are no halfway measures with God. It’s all or nothing. Many times, Christians believe they can give portions of their lives to God and He will bless them. God wants all of you. Only then will God hear from heaven, forgive your sin, and heal your land, the place where you live. Have you surrendered all of you to God? Let’s pray: Father, help me surrender everything to You. Help me humble myself, leaving none of me for me, but giving all of me to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zev5tHjCB_s Copyright © 15 November 2019 by Valerie Routhieaux Iimage courtesy of Pixabay. Only topic-related comments accepted.

Another amazing Bible Study, it does at times feel that he does not hear our prayers, but he always does...
