Free Vans

Not the vehicle, but the stylish shoe.
Vans happen to be one of my favorite types of shoe and has been for many years now. I have two pairs myself but a friend of mine gave me two pairs this weekend. This is the same friend I've said that I can't leave her house without more than I came with.
I'm not complaining as I love vans shoes and have been thinking about getting myself a new pair. Now I don't necessarily have to.
This weekend was fun with friends. We watched a couple of movies (Bad Santa and Prey) and had good food.
Now it's time to catch up here. How was everyone else's weekend?

Sounds like a wonderful. Good for you on getting two pairs of Vans. I had a gopd weekend too. Sad to see it come to an end.

@ScribbledAdNauseum no that was last weekend. This week I only worked Wednesday to Friday because I had an extra long weekend last week.

@Happy2BeMe Ah, okay. To be honest, this whole month has ran into each other. I've been at my friend's house every weekend of this month I think, and I'll be there not this coming weekend but next weekend. I love spending time with them but I'll be glad when I can be home again and back to a normal routine.

It was a bit cold here but not too bad. I need to get back to trying to earn money. That's the only thing about hanging with the friends, my earning opportunities are less because I don't bring my laptop.

Vans is known to be a skater's shoe and when I was in my teens I loved the vans too. I had a few pairs. But now, I don't see them to be comfortable. They're heavy and I find the sole too hard. I find Adidas ultra boost more comfortable. I do own a sneaker that looks like vans but the price is really expensive coz it's about 350 euro, but unfortunately, it's not a comfortable pair as well. Just like vans.

@ScribbledAdNauseum NOpe not talking about converse because back in college I also owned one converse shoes. And back when I was in high school, Vans was a very popular brand among teens. So nope. And my son has also just one pair of Vans. And we don't buy knock-offs too.

@toniganzon I guess people are all different. I used to work 8-12 hour shifts on my feet in those vans. My feet were comfortable.

Are you sure your not thinking of Converse? Converse (like vans) is also known as a skater shoe and they are really uncomfortable. Vans are more comfortable to wear.

They are shoes. Marketed as a "Skater shoe" for the skateboarding community. I don't remember exactly when I started wearing them, but they are comfortable with some cute designs.

We are more like sisters to be honest. I guess it's sort of like hand me downs / arounds. I like doing that anyway.
Yes, my weekend was a lot of fun. I am happy to be home now. I am glad yours was great!

They were marketed as skater (skateboarding) shoes when they first came out but I'm not so sure they are marketed that way anymore. They are comfy and stylish.
