This afternoon a couple of gentlemen came by from church to clean my gutters, as when the neighbor had to cut down a tree in my backyard recently he told me the gutters were clogged. Both the men who came were in their seventies, and unfortunately one of them fell and went home, so I did what I could to help the other guy who was walking around on the roof cleaning my gutters out--turning the hose on/off, taking out kinks in the hose, holding the ladder he had to climb and tying a rope to the hose so he could lift it to the roof and such. It was pretty dark by the time he was able to start working, so I'm sure that the yard is even messier than it looked with the backyard light on--I think enough dirt came out of the gutters to fill a couple of large plant pots. The fellow who did most of the work said there were still things that needed to be done, but it would have to wait. Right now, I need to find something to eat for dinner. My boss hasn't called, I may call her in a bit to see when/where/if she needs me this week. I hope that you've all had a good day/evening/etc. in your part of myLot land !

Pardon me for saying this but I don't think an old man should be doing that heavy work. Besides, look what happened to one, he fell. When I became a senior, I became choosy with the task that I handle.

Well, the man who fell wasn't actually doing any of the work. As for the "old man" who was, there was no way you could have told him he "couldn't" or "shouldn't be doing the work just because he's 78 years old. That man's been doing hard work all of his life.

@xstitcher ouch, 78 years old huh. That's a certified grandpa doing that kind of work?
