I managed to read this book during the course of the weekend because it was not a very long story, and I found it hard to put down because I wanted to find out what happened in the end. It is sort of like a modern day folk story where their are hints of the supernatural being at work, but the people in the book are just ordinary men and women. The main characters are a couple who have recently lost their son. Understandably, the mother is acting very weird and a friend suggests they call in a sort of medium to help her get through this bad patch. After these people have been to the house, things get even odder. The story mostly takes place in the here and now, but some chapters take the reader back in the couple`s past and to when their son was alive but behaving very strangely.

What was the end of the book? Did they adopted a son afterwards?

They did not adopt a son exactly, but the mother sort of found a replacement.

It seems like she is still in denial for her lost.

That is what the author wants us to think, but there is really much more to it than that.

@lazydaizee If I have the chance to read it, I might see the bigger picture of the story. Thank you for sharing it.

@Hannihar It was strange because it was like an old fashioned folk story.
