The Miami Sound Machine was an American band of Latin-influenced music with the vocals of Gloria Estefan, a Cuban-born singer. The band was established in 1975 by Emilio Estefan, Jr.; and it was originally known as the Miami Latin Boys. It was changed to the Miami Sound Machine in 1977. In 1989 Gloria continued on as a solo artist. Even though MSM was playing her music, many times on the recordings, they were not credited. In 2002 Emilio tried to revive the band. Without Gloria's vocals, it was met with moderate success in a few European countries and failed to chart significantly in the United States. Photo Credit: Wikimedia Commons
