The Gospel for today comes from Luke 19: 42-44. "When Jesus had come in sight of the city, he wept over it, and said, “If only today you knew the ways of peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. Yet days will come upon you, when your enemies will surround you with barricades, and shut you in, and press on you from every side. And they will dash you to the ground and your children with you, and not leave stone upon stone within you, for you did not recognize the time and the visitation of your God.” Dominus Flevit translates to The Lord has wept. In the three year ministry of our Lord, three times, perhaps, The Lord has wept. Gospel accounts: 1. our Lord wept for Lazarus, 3. when, in anguish as He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, His Sweat dropped like Tears of Blood, 2. when our Lord caught sight of Jerusalem and wept. (the Gospel today.) Why did our Lord cry for Jerusalem? History tells us that the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans occurred 70 AD. This means that our Lord's Crying was a foreshadowing of the grim future. As darkness hovers over every nook and cranny of the globe - Hong Kong, Serbia, America, my own motherland- to name a few from current events, ergo, our Lord continues to cry. The enemies are upon us now, if only we knew the way of peace, says our Lord. The barricades has surrounded us, we have been pressed from every side. That is because we did not recognize the time and the visitation of our God. Fellow man, must we wait for the enemies to dash us to the grounds? Our children with us?

It is a shame that we do not take the teachings of the Lord seriously until it is too late.

Yes, complacency and indifference to the Teachings and Sacrifice of our Lord is indeed shameful. Pass on the faith.

Am glad. Keep the faith. Put thy heart and mind focused on our Lord. Share the faith with others, too.
