Mammogram day

Every two years I am summoned by the breast check clinic for a mammogram. Today was my opportunity to be pulled, pressed under heavy machinery, twisted, contorted and suffer extreme discomfort. I ask why do women have to go through all of this but I do know there is a good reason behind it. I just wonder why after all these years they haven't come up with a better way to check a woman for breast cancer. Anyway I survived even though at the end I felt battered and bruised. Now I wait for the results.
Anyone undergone any uncomfortable tests or procedures lately?

LOL... love your photo. As for finding a new way to do it sounds like something I would be cheering for. There are times when it is nearly pain free and other times I feel like that apple!!

Do wish for more advancement in medicine. There have been improvements but why stop now! I promised myself I wouldn't take it out on a health care professional. What got to me though was the "sorry that this is uncomfortable" comment. Room temperature is uncomfortable. This is pain plain and simple!

I often wonder if men had to have them if they wouldn't have made greater strides by now

Had one of those too but at least I was slightly sedated then.
