I wanted a little sister!

I remember waiting for my Mum to come home from hospital with my new little brother or sister. I can't remember who I was with but it was probably my Grandma Cross. Then, when my Mum and Step-Dad arrived home they told me I had a little brother! I was so upset and disappointed because I wanted a little sister! I went in a mood for a while. I don't think it lasted long though and I got over it. David is a great brother. I'm very lucky.

I'm the youngest of my siblings.
My 2nd cousin was told she was having a girl, decorated the room in a girly way and bought girly clothes, only to give birth to a boy. I think there's a picture of my third cousin in a dress as a baby.

@sharonelton Ah yes, I have seen a picture of my great grandfather and great great aunt, he was wearing a dress.
However, what I am referring to happened around 89, so it would have been out of the ordinary.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I used to keep old baby clothes in draw and dress my dolls in them (not Sindy. They'd be too big for Sindy!)

Lots of people put baby boys in dresses. Well, in the olden days they did anyway. They'd get christened in a dress anyway, like a robe for babies. When they start to grow they'd have to put them in something more boyish though, like a baby grow.

I wanted a little sister so I could play dolls with her, but it turned out fine because me and my brother used to play Sindy and Action Man!
