What next I say? I have taken Zantac or some form of ranitidine since 1995 when hubby first gave me some when I had an upset stomach and it worked so well.
For many yrs. now I took it several times a day. In fact he took it daily also until he got colon cancer which they said was because of smoking ? really?
Now recently they have taken it off the market and I can't get it any where. I have so many questions
1. could it be what caused him the colon cancer ?
2. has it caused me colon cancer as I have had stomach / digestive problems for years now since that first start of taking it.
3. can you get withdrawal symptoms from this drug? I have missed it terribly
any one else taken this drug for stomach issues? anyone heard any up dates on it? I can't find it any where nor a replacement for it. Pepto Bismol is the closest thing but still not as good.

Pepto seems to be the closest to work. so it will have to be that for now.

Ask your doctor what a good substitute would be. I take Omeprazole which I believe is Pepcid.

All medicines have some kind of side effects. That could be why.
