Security Scare

Good morning everyone. I had a little bit of a scare this morning. I got up and found my apartment door was opened slightly. I could have sworn it was not only closed last night, but locked, but I'll admit there is always the small possibility I'm wrong. Normally I think pretty sharply, but when I'm tired I slip. I think it could happen to anyone. If in fact the door was closed last night but not locked, one of our neighbors might have simply mistaken our unit for theirs and opened the door accidentally. We live in a complex mostly w/elderly residents, so it wouldn't surprise me.

How could anyone open the door without a key other than forcing it open?

That's scary. I'm sure you'll lock up tight tonight.

If someone can use his own key to open your door, it is scary, indeed.

That's scary. There have been a few times I either forgot to take the keys out of the door when I closed it, or closed the door and not locked it.

@jnrdutton That could be. That can happen to anyone thinking they locked the door and did not. Someone could have mistaken your door for theirs.
