Don't forget the eggs!

What happens when you wake up first thing in the morning to make cornbread dressing? Well, you end up forgetting something... Even with the recipe sitting right beside you. In this instance, I forgot the eggs. What does the eggs do? Binds it all together. Whoops! Well, atleast it isn't a pertinent ingredient. It will still taste the same, just crumbly. I'll be off in the next hour or so to the families. Happy Thanksgiving America! For those outside the US, nothing is stopping you from making a big meal that you'll gorge yourself on! Have you ever forgotten an ingredient in a recipe?

No big meal for us, I am fine with light meals, I will make an exception for Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving to you. I forgot the baking powder in my muffin one day, they were not bad, just a bit "flat".

I had two small servings and no dessert. I did not over-fill myself this time. I am strange in that I like things that are bit flatter and crunchier. Provided it is not too dry, I would have eaten it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We ate the muffins, the taste was good. I like crunchy cookies, but I like soft and fluffy cakes and muffins.

@LadyDuck I like to take the cookies out of the oven while they are still soft. I don't like them crunchy.

I had bought them, but forgot to use them in the recipes. Whoops! I've forgotten to get something from the grocery store plenty of times.

Oh no! That stinks because that is a crucial ingredient to forget. I have forgotten, in the past, baking soda or powder (can't remember which), which really screwed everything up. Ha ha. Oh well, you will pay more attention next time!

Out of the two, Baking powder and soda, i tend to forget to buy baking powder at the store. We luckily have a canister of it here now, so it's just a matter of me remembering it when a recipe calls for it.

My Mom forgot to write vanilla in the recipe she gave me for a cake, so I did not put it in and it was AWFUL.

I have forgotten the vanilla in potato candy a time or two, but ti doesn't make much of a difference for that. Whoops! What kind of cake was it?

One year my daughter accidentally used mint extract instead of vanilla extract in the sweet potato casserole. We tried to eat it, but....
