Watched the horrifying footage of the Boston Marathon bombing on the news in April of 2013, and the aftermath that necessitated a city wide lock down, and the subsequent arrest of the bomber who hid in a boat.
Lives were lost, and limbs, too, of runners whose passion was to make it to the finish line. And yet, despite the tragedy, the police dauntlessly pursued the case, and the FBI relentlessly searched, figuring out the terrorists' action, and in the end, capturing.
The movie entitled Patriots Day tells the story of that nerve-wracking week, including the suspension of civilian freedom of movement, through a writ, confining the citizenry in their own abodes, till the manhunt produces the bomber.
Recommending the movie, simply because the accounts of the story must be remembered, for these entailed the courage and resolve of the Boston strong, not just the persistence of the police and the resiliency of the victims, but the entire people of Boston who showed what the strength of the people means.

I am a movie buff. Yes, the film versions of true to life stories are very fascinating.

I don't think I'm in the mood to watch something like that right now , not while we are still hosting the Southeast Asian games, I trust our very own security forces but the " what ifs" had been crossing my mind lately . I'm sure it's a good one but if I would see it perhaps after all this hosting and the many problems that comes with it is over.

Oh, I forgot. Hu hu. My friends deleted all news because of the despicable press releases about the games. I know we should be supportive of our athletes, but sigh, our politics is totally pathetic.
Okay, on it. Thanks for the reminder.
Addendum - didn't get to watch. Hu Hu My back ached and opted to sleep.
