Getting further into Chapter Two of my fan fiction--a lot of "flash backs" so far in the story--the one I'm writing now is particularly long. I'm hoping in the next chapter I can write without having to explain background via flashbacks. Oh, well, at least it's coming along.
Fortunately, I caught myself before it got too late at night.
I can continue writing again tomorrow after I get home from church. Lengthy flashbacks or no, I think the story's coming along well.

Ooh, that sounds like great progress! Setting things up via flashbacks can be tricky, but so rewarding when it all comes together. I don't do it a lot in my own works, but I love seeing how other writers use them to set the stage for the real meat of the story.
I'm looking forward to getting a chance to sit down and work on some of my own fics when Monday rolls around. Did the holiday throw off your writing schedule at all? I feel like mine went completely out the window with everything else going on.
Hope tomorrow gives you a productive session!

Well, it wasn't so much the holiday that threw me off as a few days before that when I thought I was coming down with something, but it turned out I was dehydrated.
