Every Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner segment had rules

Do you remember the Looney Tunes Cartoon? More importantly, do you remember that silly Coyote and that cunning Road Runner? That used to be one of my favorite segments, though Bugs Bunny was (and is still) my favorite character.
Well, there was a set of 9 rules that that animators and writers had to go by for this particular segment.
One such rule is that All Tools, Weapons, or Mechanical Conveniences MUST be obtained From the ACME Corporation.
Another, and probably my favorite, is : Whenever possible, make gravity the coyote's greatest enemy.
I feel as if they did a great job of that as I can see in my mind's eye the many drops the poor coyote made after thinking he had finally nabbed the road runner.
*I refer to the show that aired from '30 to '69.

Yes, he always made me laugh. I remember always pulling for him, hoping he'd win but knowing the road runner would always get away.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Have you seen on YouTube someone who created a video where he finally win?

Best cartoon ever.
In fact you may find that I have used it as inspiration for a novel (and the odd myLot discussion) regarding the exploits of Brigadier St. John Mortimer in his work as a member of the highly secretive government organisation The Bureau of Comedy Assassinations.

Yes it was. When I was a little girl I was given a life size bugs bunny from Toys R Us. It was huge, but didn't last very long.

I loved Looney Toons too. I don't think I had a favorite character.

I always rooted for the Coyote, but the road runner always won the day.

Did you know they have done studies on that? I always wished for the coyote to catch the roadrunner. They say those that do are goal oriented. I used to be for sure..now I seem to have a mananna attitude.

No, I didn't know they had done studies. I guess one would need to be goal oriented to catch a fast runner!

I haven't either. I think if there are any reruns out there, it's probably the 2000's iteration of the show. I watched it with my nephew, but the original still holds a place in my heart.
