Joshua is a teen-ager. His face has been a cover on Time Magazine. Why? Because at 14 years of age, he single handedly started a protest against Beijing for imposing National Education on the school curriculum. A handful of students joined him, talking on the streets, distributing fliers, spreading awareness of the fate of Hong Kong if communism is instilled in the young generation. The protest wasn't easy. The young Scholarism activists were dampened by the rain as they took on a stance at the Square, and the fact that school would have started and they have not achieved their goal. Then a miracle happened. On the first day of school, students turned in droves to support Joshua's cause. And the National Education was thrashed. Joshua is not done yet. His fight continues till Hong Kong implements the right of suffrage and Hong Kong is restored to its former state.
Unstable times can create the unlikeliest of heroes. When the promise of Hong Kong’s autonomy was at risk, 14 year old Joshua Wong decided to speak up. Amid ...

Tiananmen Massacre of 1989 was mind-boggling. China wouldn't hesitate to kill its own people.

@louievill We are a people divided - one by patriotism, the other by idolatry. Am vocal about my views, as I was when I realized what Martial Law was about. It takes the silence of the people to allow evil to proliferate. Somehow, we did put a stop to the killings now, didn't we? The Tiananmen was not just violent, it was brutal.

He was not born yet when the British turned over Hong Kong to China. He was but a child when he perceived the repression. He was a teen, 14, when he took to the streets to tell the people he was against the repression in education. That lanky lad is courage under fire.

My country has gradually been invaded by China. The protestation that happened in Hong Kong this year gave us goosebumps. The people of Hong Kong rallied non-stop, and has, todate, not buckled down. It is the future of Hong Kong that is at stake. Take a look at this timeline.
Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam has formally withdrawn a proposed extradition bill that sparked months of protests in the Chinese-ruled city. The following is a ...
