He is an English singer, songwriter, actor and reality television star. In the 1970s he is best known for being the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath and was known as "The Prince of Darkness". In 1979 he was fired from the band for drug and alcohol use but continued on as a successful solo artist. The first 7 of 11 albums were awarded multi-platinum certification in the United States. In 1999 he rejoined the group and helped them record their final album before they left on their farewell tour which ended in February of 2017. Total album sales for Black Sabbath and Osbourne's solo career total over 100 million. 1960 - Daryl Hannah was born. She is an American actress and environmental activist.
