BREAKING NEWS (Courtesy of WEED 109.9) The New York Stock Exchange has closed on fears of the market crashing. In the past two days the stocks associated with marijuana have tumbled, falling below $4.20 a share, following the announcement by country music legend Willie Nelson that he’s giving up smoking pot. Nelson, 86, is one of the nation’s most famous pot smokers. As more and more states have legalized (or decriminalized) marijuana and more studies are done for its medicinal purposes, stocks in the plant have skyrocketed. Now that Nelson claims he’s giving up the habit because of his emphysema, the marijuana industry is in a tailspin. One pot stock broker was quoted as saying, “This is the worst thing to happen to the consumption of marijuana since the Grateful Dead broke up.” In a haste to overcome the fears, Bob Marley tributes are being organized nationwide. One of my favorite Willie Nelson songs:

Thank you! Now here’s something you may not believe: I’ve never used it. (Never been to Muskogee, either....)
