Simple Soup.

I think I am a dwarf, for I love soup.
Not much of a cook am I but I can concoct a simple soup. Any time.
And every time, quite satisfying for family and guests. Ha ha.
Chicken soup is best for the soul, they say. The clear broth heals.
And this cold season, it's simple soup every day.

BTW, we attended mass this morning for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It’s also our Chinese parish fiesta back home instead of yesterday. I was surprised because here in NZ, today is not a holy day of obligation; instead, theirs is the Feast of the Assumption in August. All along we think that the 3 days aside from Sundays are universal, right?

Hmmm, the Catholic Church is definitely universal. That's what catholic means. We listen to the same liturgy each day, wherever in the globe the Catholics are, and we celebrate the same feasts. The Immaculate Conception is the Conception of Mary, free from original sin. The Assumption of Mary is our Lady's being brought up to Heaven Body and Soul.

@sunrisefan What I know is that the 3 Holy Days of Obligation that never change pertain to the Human Flesh of our Lord: The Annunciation - our Lord was conceived, Christmas Day, our Lord was born, and Circumcision, which is a double feast with Solemnity of Mary, Mother o God on 1st January.

Yes, we learn from each other. A genius once said we have to study a word a day, to increase our vocabulary, and make our sentences and speech exciting and beautiful.
I am glad you take a careful look at words. Words, really, maketh a man.
