Do you ever get it "all" done?

I always have huge expectations of what I will get done, and then do not get even half done. Sometimes life interferes. Sometimes I procrastinate. So today I will try to get some more of "all" done. Cleaning is one thing that seems to not get done as well as it should. I will try to do more today, after church. Two more full weeks of school before the Christmas holidays.

Sometimes you have ask yourself, does it matter to get things done? All that matters is you enjoyed the minutes.

@JohnRoberts I do enjoy many of the minutes. I just need some organization around here to soothe my mind.

I never get it all done. Witness the two walls I still want to paint in the dining area and the two strips of wallpaper I still have to put up on the third wall.

@GardenGerty Once a month Juanita would drag me back to Hamilton to do stuff for her, then I'd need a day or two to recover when I got back home, then there was gardening of course, and now my legs are complaining too much that I don't want to go up the ladder (10' ceilings)...

I rarely get everything done that I'd like to. When I get near the finish of my chores, I tend to slacken off.

@GardenGerty Sometimes I do a hard task then something enjoyable. It's like trying to trick my other lazy self.

Yes, and some would tell me that it just matters that I am happy and not to worry, but I still do.

@GardenGerty it definitely leaves an uneasiness in our minds no matter how much we think that it does not matter.

I don't sweat the small stuff these days. There's always something to do but my focus stays where it needs to. =)

@GardenGerty My eyes stay on Jesus, He has given me these 5 blessings to manage whom I love so very much but God comes first. =)

i don't believe there'd be any way possible to get'er all done. 'lways somethin' to burst yer bubble 'n demand yer 'ttention, kickin' other schtuff to the curb. when yer workin' such seems e'en more 'mpossible.

I don't think I've ever completed a to-do list. Good luck with yours.

Yes, it discourages me to see how much is left undone on a to do list. I like it better when I list what I got done, not so much failure.

@GardenGerty That is a good way to list it, what you've accomplished. I read someone did that once and it changed her whole outlook.

I usually get all things done except for the times I only get half the things done. I like John's comment though. Life is too short to worry about EVERYTHING that supposedly needs to get done. Not all things are as important as just enjoying the moments we have.

I am trying to plan more enjoyment. My high energy times are in the morning, unfortunately I am at work then. Home suffers a bit.

It can certainly tire us out to plan to do too much.
