2013 - Metallica becomes the first band to appear on all 7 continents when they perform a concert in Antarctica.
1953 - Kim Basinger was born. She is an American former model, actress and singer. She became famous as a sex symbol after her appearance as a Bond girl in Never Say Never Again in 1983. Some of her other movies: The Natural, 9-1/2 Weeks, Batman, L. A. Confidential, Blind Date and Fifty Shades Darker.
1982 - Nicki Minaj (Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty) was born in Saint James, Port of Spain and was raised in Queens, New York. She is a rapper, singer, songwriter, actress and model. After signing with a label in 2009, she released her first studio album Pink Friday which reached #1 on the U. S. Billboard 200 and was certified triple platinum.
