Remembering Dustin Today and Always

Lost my son on this December day many years ago at the age of 16. He is forever in my heart. I look for signs to keep me going.
Without signs, without hope, without believing I will see him again one day, I would give up. Would probably join him, wherever he is. Have considered it many times.
Dustin wants me to be happy. So I will look for ways to be happy. Happy memories of Dustin fishing at his Grandmother's in this photo.
Never take anyone in your life for granted.

@CarolDM You know I feel for you. Dustin would want you to carry on until you are reunited. Know that he’s watching over you in so many ways.
The photo is a precious reminder of that. He was such an adorable little boy. I love seeing photos of him.

Very very sorry to hear that. One of my cousins expired at the age of 19, many years back.
It was so tragic!
I have no words to express what one goes through in such moments.

That is great advice, we should never every take anyone for granted in our lives.
He was such an adorably cute little boy.
I am glad that you are making a conscious decision to be happy, for Dustin, today.
My daughter's anniversary will be on March 2nd, and its awfully hard to be happy on those days.
But I'll try, and hopefully I'll make it just like you are.

You have said such a wonderful thing that we should take nothing or no one for granted in life. But we tend to overlook it.
For sure Dustin is a part of you forever and he is very much in your heart. Children can never be separated from a mother's heart. I admire you for trying to stay happy because that matters a lot to Dustin
