Good Intentions

My first thought when I got up this morning and looked at the weather was to go back to bed. I did that, but not for too long. I thought I would give it a try.
I just went out to start the car so I could leave for the pool in a few minutes. That's not happening. With yesterday's rain, the parking lot is again an ice rink. I'm not going anywhere.
I know I need to go out later for potatoes and I planned to go to a movie today. I'll wait until the sun melts the ice before going anywhere. I've also seen the salt trucks out.
So, I'm going to go and take my swimsuit off and not even think about going out this morning. Come to think about it, I don't have my gym bag ready. Now, I won't need to get it ready either. Tomorrow is supposed to be even colder as the Arctic blast settles here for the day. Temps go up on Thursday. I'll be back in the pool on Thursday and Friday. I'll wait until next week for the movie. I'm staying home except to go out and get potatoes, which I need.
Do you have good intentions and find them changed at the last minute? Thanks for reading.

Glad you are not going anywhere. Ice is very dangerous to drive on. Glad the salt trucks are out. I guess I can say welcome to winter. I see in the picture the snow on the ground. I certainly do not miss it. I have had things happen where my plans have been changed due to circumstances not in my control.

It looks like snow is worse than the flood because at least the flood would subside when the rain stops. But with snow it will stay there.

Snow isn't worse. Snow is good insulation for the ground. It's the ice that's bad.

@just4him ah yes, when I said snow what I meant was ice or whatever that white thing that is cold.

@Alexandoy That white thing that's cold is snow and ice. One is more dangerous than the other.

All the time like I was thinking about walking across to Walmart to walk around for exwecisem but it looks like the rain is coming is sooner that is bringing us much cooler temps. It was 77 degrees at noon and temps are already at 70 less than 2 hours later, the high tomorrow is only going to be in the mod 50s which to us is brrrrr weather, butnot to you up north.

Best to play it safe when weather conditions are dangerous.
