I Am A Sucker For Tater Tots / myLot

I am making braised chicken breasts for dinner tonight with some peas and carrots cooked in butter. But the highlight is going to be the tater tots. I don't know what to say. But I just love them. They are so crispy and so tasty. I am making a batch of tater tots with dinner tonight. We like to dip them in horseradish sauce. Man, these are sooo tasty. I can't wait to dig in I love the chicken. I love the buttered veggies. But can you go wrong with tater tots dipped in horseradish sauce? What are you having for dinner tonight, and what do you think of these taster tots?

I don't have one, so I just tossed them into the oven at 425 for about 10 or 15 minutes.

I love tater tots. It's been a long time since I had them. I've looked at them in the freezer section. I even pulled them out and looked at the label on them, and put them back. The sodium will stop me every time. Looking back at my Exel program where I track the food I eat, I see I had a boneless beef rib with a sweet potato.

Yeah. The sodium can be quite high. But if only every once in a blue moon it's probably okay. Your dinner sounds delicious.

@porwest I looked at a bag of tater tots in the store today. 400 sodium. It went right back in the freezer. It was.

No. I just make the ready made kind. I have no idea how to make a homemade tater tot.

Ma's friend made them back in the 1960s @porwest I remember watching her grating the taters then she'd roll some of it into lil round balls and then deep fry them. I never did get to taste them though.

@porwest Yes, during the week. On our Sabbath day which is Saturday I eat lunch and a little later on my last meal but not at night.

That actually sounds DELICIOUS, and gives me an idea for a twist on something we make with baked potatoes which is hamburger in Manwich topped with onions, sour cream, and cheese, and some bacon bits.

I think the problem is you are eating "taster tots" and not tater tots. This could be part of the problem.

I was going to have warm brie on bread but I wound up not eating. It is hard for me to do these days due to stress. I do love tater tots though. We have a burger chain around here called Smashburger. They do "Smash Tots" which are tater tots drizzled with rosemary olive oil. (as if they need more fat added to them) They taste delicious but I always regret eating them after the fact b/c they are so rich.

I love me some tater tots and I also love the hashbrowns from burger king. I went to a restaurant a few weeks ago that had burger king style hashbrowns except they looked like french toast sticks. They were delicious and gone within minutes.
