After seeing more than 5 doctors, my wife still suffered from stomach problem -- having full gas in the stomach causing discomfort feelings like having cold in the hands and feet. I was hopeless although I advised she calm down not to worry about it. I told her it was only her worry that made her worse. Then I remember a friend who is a doctor I worked with in 2014. I told him about my wife's illness. I told him only about the feeling cold in the hand and feet. He asked if my wife had ever suffered from stomach problem. I told him yes. It was gastric acid. He explained that there were two types of stomach problems: full physical illness and psychosomatic illness. He advised that my wife stop worrying about it. If she keeps worrying, she will never recover no matter how medically treated she's been.
I told my wife about his advice, and she looked relieved. After that we Google searched related illness and we found the expert who gave more advice. I hope my wife will be able to get rid of her worry.
Have you ever suffered from such illness?

Psychosomatic sickness is a reality. I have seen it with few of my clients who come for counseling. But the fact is that these people don't pretend or imagine but really feel the symptoms.

@yanzalong Yes it is. Quite complicated to be diagnosed and can really be troublesome for the person as well as the closed ones.

I think I have problems like that too. We should get rid of negative thoughts because they can cause physical illness

I have had this problem for forty years, as did my mother,as well.
Bloating, gas, indigestion problems, reflux coming up into the mouth, chest pain.
Some of it might be caused by stress. Some cases are hereditary. Some cases get worse simply by eating the wrong foods for yourself.
I know that cream, for example, sets me off, so I never eat that.
Your wife, should make a list of the foods that she eats normally, and try to pick the ones that cause the problem to get worse.
I have found something simple like eating an apple, or drinking a small amount of milk helps me.
I was taking a lot of antacid tablets before, but I got into trouble with those. They all have calcium in them. I was also taking calcium tablets for my bones too. Too much calcium in your diet affects your heart. I developed a very low heartbeat. So, I stopped taking these tablets.
I stopped taking prescribed medicine too, as long-term, they only cause problems as well.
I have had gastro examinations. They said I have diverticular disease. (Most people over 50 have a mild case of this though, they told me.)
Not eating too late at night also helps, as, usually with this problem we are better in the mornings, that at night.
