Funny Thing Happened Today

Was sitting at my computer with my coffee this morning. I am always keeping a check on the bird feeder. I keep my camera ready on the tripod at the patio door.
And all of a sudden I saw this beautiful black cat on the deck. Checking out my bird feeder. Smelling around.
Looks exactly like the Dude. Same color, same eyes, same meow. I know how he meows because I had to go say hello to him. He rubbed against my legs. Rolled around in the yard.
Very friendly, exactly like the Dude. So, what do you think, is this the Dude?

e@LindaOHio Yes, he is very friendly and clean. I think he belongs to one of these 35 homes recently built. He is gone now. And I couldn't have him anyway because my two are declawed, indoor only.

Could be! I remember when I was a child we had a number of outdoor cats. We had one that was the oldest cat named Cotton and one day this other older cat came and hung out for the day and then left. My mom said that was the exact day that she had left and comes back every year to the day and leaves again.

I have a black cat who visits me and while he is exactly like Mr B, who is no longer with me, he is taller at the shoulder and heavier. His meow is very strange, I don't he likes people much, but he tolerates my neighbour and me, probably because we give him snacks and supper!

We have a black cat in the neighborhood that always reminds me of Princess, even though she is gone. Also have a grey and white tuxedo cat that likely is Tink's father. I am not surprised that this one reminds you of the Dude.

@1creekgirl They just saw each other through the glass. Very calm. I think they are alike personality wise.

he's sure a purty fella :) i've one 'f those toms here. one 'f the few ferals who're folk friendly. did'ja do a double take when spotted? i've 'd a few ferals that don't live here freak me out from time to time's they look jest like the resident cat. 'lways wonder if'n the hubs's let her out without my knowledge.
i'll need to sneak'p 'n the black beauty here. he's purty quick to wrap himself 'round my legs, lol.
