Did You Know This About Vanilla Extract

Was planning to make some peppermint patties later this week. Bought a bottle of vanilla extract. Never read the ingredients of the vanilla before today. I usually do, but not on a product I have been using for years.
Check this out. 91% Alcohol! I was shocked. Maybe you all knew this but I was surprised. No wonder this stuff is so strong and you only use a small amount in recipes. Who knew!
Did you know this about vanilla extract? You can clearly see in my photo 91% alcohol.

I did not know until now. I like to have vanilla extract mostly in homemade eggnog and Crock-Pot french toast.

Yes, I knew it. I know you can use vodka and make your own extracts.

Yes, teens use it to get drunk on..will mix a bottle in a vanilla shake for instance.
