Computer Set-Up/Printer Update 12/16/19 - Part 2

Just remember, I'm not complaining...I'm just updating you on the current situation.
The only thing I have left to resolve is a password problem with VIPRE. BUT, it's showing it as installed and it shows that my computer as "secure"; so I'm not too worried about that now. The tech wants to get on my computer and take a look. We shall see about that.
The printer is printing without that ratchety noise (for right now). Originally I was going to use it until the cartridges run out (I still can't access the cartridge area-the lid is jammed); but there is an HP printer on sale for $100 off; and it would fit my needs. I need to think about that for a bit.
So, except for having to spend more $, things have gone OK with just a few glitches.
Will let you know what I decide to do.

My printer drinks ink like it’s a guy who just crossed the desert. I don’t print that much stuff out, but dang it’s expensive to buy a new cartridge every 20 pages or so!

My cartridges last longer than that; but I print a lot of pictures; and it's dang expensive!

I've been sticking with Dell. Everyone says for no problems buy a Mac. But you'd have to buy all new software if you play a lot of games like I do. If you don't, then buy a Mac. More expensive but they're supposed to be excellent.
