We are all settled in here in Branson. It's 27 degrees with a wind chill of 19 degrees. Can we say COLD??
The custodial staff have been busy putting salt on all the sidewalks here to prevent injuries. There is ice everywhere.
We didn't do anything today because of the weather. Light rain and the roads were icy. They were asking people to stay off the roads because of the weather. We have a 10% chance of snow and will probably get it. My husband and I are jinxed on going places in the winter and snow usually follows us. This happened twice on two trips to Tennessee.
We got news today that a tornado ripped though our hometown so we are praying that all is well at home.
Tomorrow morning I am going to a meeting if I can get up and dressed in time and stand the weather.
After that if the weather has cleared up with will go do some sightseeing.
I hope you are all having a great week!

I hope you can enjoy your time in Branson despite the weather. Are you there on business, pleasure, or both?
We also got hit with a bunch of tornadoes here in Florida this past Friday. I have been watching the current system that spawned the tornado in your hometown, and I'm hoping the damaging storms don't eventually hit us as well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything is okay in your hometown after the tornado.
Stay warm, and be safe in that wintery mess!

From what I heard it hit north of the city and that is where we are. I guess it will just depend if it went directly north or to the east or western side north.
There are a lot of people out of electricity also and they said it will be a few days for some to get it back on. If that is/was the case; it was good that we were gone.

@moffittjc Got confirmation on house day before we left. House untouched but total devastation 1/4 of a mile away. Homes wiped totally away
The tornado went both south and north of us. Hit about a mile north of the house. Lots of firewood available to those who need it.

@LindaOHio We finally got in touch with a friend who checked on the house for us. He said at first the house looked fine, but came back and double checked. It hit 1/4 of a mile from our house though. We were very lucky.

@kareng Yes, because men are more laid back...it's our job to do the worrying. :-)

@kareng Yeah. Not sure exactly where Grand Crowne is. I know that Green Valley is more considered Kimberly City. But it is right on Table Rock Lake, and we always have a good time there and really like the place. Nothing fancy, just the way I like it.

@Tampa_girl7 I was entertained. I had a 1000 piece puzzle to put together. I only got 3/4 of it done. I needed one more day or half day.

Sometimes such rough weather can make us prisoners in our home. Hope it is better tomorrow and you can make to the meeting. Praying for the safety of all in your hometown.

@kepweng Oh! I find nothing as comfortable as home. But we do need to go out to work and socialize.
