Blue Jays Love the Peanuts

Had to clean out the wet bird feeder earlier. We got tons of rain last night from the storms that came through. The rain left the feeder a mess. Had to clean it out and now the birds are waiting in line. Maybe I need a second feeder. Amazing how many birds show up. Six blue jays this morning, then more in the yard. Snapped this photo earlier right before the blue jay flew away with a peanut. Also Ivar, the woodpecker, cardinals, chickadees, sparrows, and doves. Love seeing all the backyard birds from the window. They are like my screensaver for my computer.

@caroldm I have dozens of Bluetits, Robins and Great T!ts going mad after my peanuts. I do wish Mylot wasn't prudish about my t!ts and let me spell the whole word!

I keep the tripod setup at the patio doors and sneak up to the camera, sometimes they still fly before I can snap a photo. I don't have any really big trees yet, maybe why I don't have squirrels.

@CarolDM i'd do that here, but i'm purty certain such'd be gettin' knocked o'er frequently. that pups tail 'tis 'lways smackin' somethin', lol. i think 't depends'n the sun here, 't times i can walk o'er'n get great shots through my windows, the birds payin' no mind. other times? the minute i get to the doorway, they're gone. i'm thinkin' when the sun 'tis 't certain levels they jest catch the reflection 'f my lil sanctuary, other times they can see straight 'nto the house? could be? i've 'd several folks offer to trap some squirrels 'n bring 'em out here since my lil fella left. jest can't do 't though. 'twas cruel 'n saddened my heart to find out how he made't this far out'n the first place. 'd sure not wish that'n 'nother. that'n this herd 'f ferals...

@crazyhorseladycx If I had dogs I couldn't do it, the cats always go around it. You are right. I scoot mine over to the door facing so I can try to sneak, you have to try different things. My Dad always had tons of squirrels and he had trees all over his yard.
