Day 134 Promise 184 Psalm 22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. 23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. 24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. 25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them who fear him. 26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD who seek him: your heart shall live forever. 27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. 28 For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations. 29 All they who are rich upon earth shall eat and worship: all they who go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. 30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. 31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this. People pass traditions and values on to the next generation. Traditions cause joy and gladness. David praised God and recounted all He did for Israel. He declared God’s goodness in the congregation and he declared the same to future generations. As Christians, you are the generation unborn when David penned this psalm. Someone told you what God did for them, just as someone passed it on to them and they believed. What did they believe? They believed God would hear their prayers. They believed He would answer them in their trouble. They believed God would satisfy them with food and bless the work of their hands. David praised God all the time because God kept His Word to him to keep him safe. When was the last time you praised God for what He did for you? Don’t take your life for granted. Give God praise for all He did and will do for you. And pass it on. Let’s pray: Father, help me praise You for all You do for me and help me tell others about Your amazing love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 18 December 2019 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay. Only topic-related comments accepted.

Could you tell who is David ? And 'David praised God and recounted all He did for Israel. He declared God’s goodness in the congregation and he declared the same to future generations.' mentions that something is done for Israel and what is that ?

David was the second king of Israel and wrote most of the Psalms. God took care of Israel and came to their aid against their enemies. He will do the same for all those who put their trust in Him and accept Jesus, His Son, as their Savior and Lord.

@parpande The Old Testament is the history and prophecies leading up to the birth of Jesus Christ, the Messiah God promised Adam and Eve when they sinned in the Garden of Eden. The New Testament is the history of the church and how to live the way God wants us too. The first four books give the life and ministry of Jesus, God's Son.
