You've heard of Sarah Winchester haven't you? Surely you've heard the name Winchester before. Well she was the wife of the man who inherited the company. I'm listening to an un-hollywood version of the events that surrounded The Mystery House. So far I am liking this particular podcast channel.. Trying to focus on it because I am not feeling so well. I am thinking of eating another candy bar because that is what one does when they are not feeling so well in this manner. However, the candy bar I want just happens to be the last one I have. I'll have to order more the next time I order them. They are my favorite, but they aren't manufactured or sold here in the US. If your a fan of history, I recommend this podcast, you can probably find it on most platforms just type in "The History Chicks". What's your favorite candy bar? What's your favorite podcast or book or movie or tv show or cd .. well you get my gist.

I have heard about her; she's incredibly interesting. My favorite candy bar is either a Pay Day or a Babe Ruth. I like a sports podcast most, but my newest podcast favorite is the Lady Gang. I only knew about them because they made it as a TV show for awhile. My favorite show right now is Homicide Hunter: Joe Kenda, and The Misery Index. Have you seen Misery Index? I think you'd like it. As for books, my favorite are books by Atul Gawande. I have read every book by him ever.

I like Payday's every once in awhile, I haven't had either that or a Babe Ruth bar in a very long time. What does the sports podcast talk about it? Is it just following one team or the whole of a league? I haven't seen it, but I may see if I can find it on demand, what channel does it come on? Atul Gawande is a doctor? He writes about the endocrine system?

It's a rifle company. Have you heard of the movie Rose Red by Stephen King? That house and it's story is what the movie is about, although they heavily edited it to fit their own plot.

It sounds interesting. I read about Sarah Winchester and the house a long time ago, but I would like to know more. Recently I have been listening to a true crime podcast called Trace evidence. The host has covered many cases about people who disappeared and have never been found.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I don't know any of them, but they sound interesting. I am interested in a lot of different topics and history is one of them. I have also been watching some of the urban legends by Most amazing top 10. They have urban legends from many different countries.

@Porcospino Oh I will have to look for the urban legends one. I like those. I find that there are several here in the US that are attributed to several different areas / states. Like the one where a man picks up a lady on a bridge and when he gets her home, she has disappeared. He knocks on the door of her house only to find she passed away x amount of years ago. Have you ever heard of Shadlowlands.com? I think that's what it is. it might be TheShadowlands.com I haven't been to that site in awhile, but it's about urban legends.

I have the Lore and Criminal podcast that I am subscribed to, those two may interest you. Lore is more about history and weird things people believed. I haven't listened to Criminal yet but it seems interesting based off of it's summary. I haven't finished the Sarah Winchester episode yet, but I am hoping to do that sometime today. I liked the way they have presented it so far though, The History Chicks.

I would love to take a tour of that house. I've seen it in videos and on film, but I think it is something one truly has to experience for themselves.

Those are pretty good, I like them from time to time. Very occasionally I will get the cookies and cream bar, but it's so rich I don't get it often.

@Deepizzaguy That brand is good, but like most chocolates, has far too much sugar. I like getting dark chocolate to satisfy my craving for chocolate.

I can't handle those types of foods much anymore. I get heartburn or indigestion. I used to love spicy foods.

@Butterfingers I will eat spicy occasionally as well, but I usually end up paying for it the next day with bad heartburn.

I always thought that the house's exterior embodied the California life. I was actually introduced to this house via the Stephen King movie Rose Red.

It sounds interesting. I don't have a favorite candy bar now because I have not eaten candy in a very long time. Presently I am watching the series Bones

I've seen a few episodes of Bones. That was one of my mom's favorite shows. her and my brother would watch it together many years ago. I don't eat many candy bars to be fair.

I know that lady. she built this weird house with the design that could ward off bad spirits.

Yep, that's the exact one. She had been told that it was what she had to do, the house was meant to confuse the spirits.
