and shined your flashlight at the stars? Wondering how long will that light take to get from me to the star I see?
I grew up in the house of a scientist and he always asked questions. I got that from him, asking questions like this.
So have you ever done that? Shined a light towr\ards a distant start and wondered will my light get there in 20 years, 40 years or more?

i love seeking stars/ Imagine that the tiny dot in the sky, could have sent that light a billion years ago.

My father worked with NASA and got to meet Mr. Sagan. I have his autograph somewhere.

I sort of did that. I switched on torch in my terrace and pointed towards the marshland behind my house and asked myself despite light being an electromagnetic wave, why does it cannot be seen after a distance, why doesn't it not lights up infinitely. Like other electromagnetic waves which can penetrate walls, why can't light do so?
