Mylotting with hot coffee....

I am all done with my morning chores....I kept a very few for today.
Now I am sitting with a hot cup of coffee. And that feels heaven on a cold winter day
But we have bright sun despite of chill. 
I am sitting in my balcony chair with my laptop and basking in the sun that seeps in here.
Today is the last working day for us before the Christmas break. And today it is more fun than work. We have a potluck lunch and playing few games with children. I have cooked my share of vegetable biryani for the potluck. Yesterday we picked the chits for Secret Santa. And I got the chit for an young teacher at the preschool. I know that she enjoys reading but not sure of her choice of books. I have not interacted much from her. So to be on safe side I picked up a gift card fro her from a very good book store which has few stores in every corner of the city. The store also has good decorative items other than books. So she has a lot to choose from. Hope she likes it.
So the holiday mode has already set in here
I have more than an hour before leaving for work and so I have the luxury to enjoy my coffee and mylot.

It is Friday here in my part of the world. Before 4 pm I will be getting off the computer to get ready for our Jewish Sabbath. I will not be here at all tomorrow because I observe our Sabbath and means no work. It ends tomorrow night and Sunday I will be back here. Sunday night starts our holiday of Hannuka and it lasts for 8 days.

Thank you for wanting to know about our Sabbath. On Friday at a certain time we stop working and we light candles for our Sabbath. That means all works stops. We do not cook. We use something called a plata which is like a hot plate that we plug into the wall and use that to heat of our food on. The hot plate is only meat food on that we heat up. On Friday night people got to the Synagogue and on Saturday they also go. I sit on our porch on Saturdays and pet my cat or play with one of her toys and read and watch the people go up and down our street. I take a walk on Saturday morning only if the weather is fine. Our Sabbath ends at a certain time on Saturday night. Thank you for wishing me a Happy Hannuka. It stats tonight. I am very excited to play something with my cat.
