This morning I woke up waiting for the phone appointment, and had to deal with Angel staring at me as if asking: "Why aren't we going for our walk yet?" The call finally came around--maybe 9:30 a.m.? The lady asked me a bunch of questions about this account or did I have these or those assets. I was sure I wouldn't get the help (Food Stamps/Cal Fresh) because of all the assets/accounts that I had remembered I had, but I guess I didn't have enough money in any of them, because to my surprise, at the end of the conversation the lady said I'd be getting my card (I guess it's like a debit card) in the mail in ten days or something like that. I have yet to let my brother know, but I don't think that he's home from work yet. That will be a big help.
