Day 138 Promise 188 Psalm 25:12 What man is he who fears the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. 13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of the LORD is with them who fear him; and he will show them his covenant. What gets your attention? Whom do you acknowledge and pledge yourself to? David gave all his reverence to the LORD. He knew God would teach him what he needed to know. God promised David he would always have a son sitting on the throne and He would provide everything he needed. David knew the secret lay in his reverence of God and in keeping His covenant. Fear here means reverence. As Christians, you give reverence to God when you trust Him to lead you through your life. When you accepted Jesus as your Savior, all the blessings and promises God gave His children, Israel, became yours. That means, your children will acknowledge Him as Savior and Lord. It means God will provide everything you need in life. It means you will know God’s secret. His secret is found in reading and studying His Word. It’s found in prayer. It’s found in spending time with God and getting to know His heart for you. Do you have needs? Do you have children and family members who don’t know Jesus as Savior and Lord? Do you read and study God’s Word? Do you pray? Do you trust God to provide everything you need? If you want change in your life, it starts with acknowledging God and His Son, Jesus, as your Savior and Lord. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for meeting my needs and taking care of me.
