A Disgrace. A Dishonor.

Here are the facts. My daughter was on the first screening of Rise of the Skywalker in London. She called me to show her Rey hairdo at 7 am in the morning. The viewing begins at 2 in the afternoon. Sent me photos of the exciting experience. The next day, she was on another cinema. The following day, she was on another theater. All the time, she urged me to watch at once. I did today, with my other daughter. Guess what? I drifted to sleep in the middle of the movie - the rising action. And missed salient points. My daughter woke me up in time for the climax. Hu Hu. At the coffee bean cafe, my daughters communicated and made my sleeping an issue. Said I was a disgrace to the Jedi. I brought dishonor to the religion. Whooaaaa. Watch guys, the Rise of the Skywalker deserves a light saber salute!

The Rise of Skywalker is the final episode. Wish you could catch it before the Metro Manila Filmfest.

I would give credit to JJ Abrams and Chris Terrio for this final episode. Well written and well produced. The music deserves real high commendation. Yay, John Williams. My daughters are typical millennials in the sense that they know every little detail about the plot and the characters, even the screenplay. But my, this mother grew up with the original Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Superman, and James Bond on the silver screen. Even if I did doze off to slumber, I could follow through the end. And I did, of course. Truth is, in one conversation with my daughter, I was already able to predict the story line. She just didn't affirm it to avoid spoiling. I could give you spoilers but the millennials and Gen Z will not forgive me. Hu Hu

Was caught in the hustle and bustle, yes, plus, I thought I was still young. Gosh, this Jedi thing - the Force - I couldn't accept I was Obiwan - foregone!, or Luke/Leia, and was acting like Rey! That millennial Force is enviable. Sigh.

Lol! It was so funny. Your daughters are funny. You reminded me of someone who slept in the middle of the movie The Lord of the Ring, in the cinema. It was funny because I enjoyed the movie and my companion found it boring.

Your parallelism is correct. There were prolonged scenes in The Lord of the Rings, as with Star Wars' The Rise of Skywalker. Wasn't boring but the scenarios were the same, I allowed my eyes to droop and that was it. Gosh, TLOTR was really good. I love that trilogy.

I ate a sandwich before the movie and mine was a reclining seat. I was so comfy I couldn't hold my eyes open. Plus it was so cold.

It was a must watch movie. It's the end to the saga of the Jedi. I did not actually sleep, perhaps just a nap. Ha ha
