Making mini Christmas stockings....

Hello! I really hope everyone is doing well! I wanted to show you what I have been making my family and some of my friends. I wanted to make bigger Christmas stockings for everyone but I couldn't afford enough material so decided to make smaller ones. Which actually turned out better because I can put mini Christmas crackers and candy canes in them. I have made 6 altogether so far and will give them out tomorrow for Christmas but have about another 12 - 15 to make for other family members and some friends. They have been fun to make. Keeps my mind and hands busy. I will also be making some Christmas chocolates ( melting chocolate and putting them in moulds ). But haven't got around to them just yet but will show you all when they are done. If you celebrate Christmas, what will you be doing?

Did you hand-make those little stockings? Like sew them together? It's such a wonderful idea what you did, and homemade gifts are always better than store-bought gifts in my opinion. It shows that you put some thought and love into the gift! I spent Christmas at Disney, like I do every year with the fam. Usually, I'll spend the entire time between Christmas and New Years there, but the way the holidays fall in the middle of the week this year, we decided to split it up into two vacations. So we were there for the past week for Christmas, and next week we'll be there again for New Years.

@moffittjc I sure did. I bought the material. Printed out a stocking shape to use as a stencil. And yeah just put it altogether. Really enjoyed making them. And thank you very kindly. aw lovely! I am glad you were able to go again. I'm sure you had an amazing time there for New Years.

@VivaLaDani13 Disney's NYE fireworks show blows my mind every year, even though I have been celebrating New Years there for the past 20 years. The elaborate show never ceases to amaze me!

@moffittjc I can only imagine how spectacular the fireworks would be there. How long do the fireworks go for roughly?

@VivaLaDani13 You're welcome! I may have to borrow your idea lol. I'll probably just buy the stockings in bulk off Wish or something by the end of the summer/early fall (give it time to ship) and then fill each one with 2-3 little things.

My Christmas plan is usually to make sure I don't have to cook a lot :-) No cooking yesterday, no cooking today or on the 26th or the 27th. Must make myself food on the 25th. Should survive that :-) The stockings are really cute! We don't really have any stocking traditions here, most people just put the gifts under the tree and open them tonight.

@Torunn I think that is a great idea! I like that feeling of taking care of things days before and actual event so it means no stressing over it. And thank you very much! We don't really do the whole stocking things either. Well I mean, my family doesn't. But wanted to make my family and friends a little gift.
