Suzie survived the surgeries.
She has a broken arm, leg, several ribs and spinal fractures. At 87 she's getting the best kind of pain killers she'd be allowed as she is also diabetic and has heart problems. Carol said she's surprised she was able to survive all of that but is happy she did.
I'll probably find out more today but please keep praying, she's not completely out of the woods yet.

That is so sad @LadyDuck
Sometimes I wish there wouldn't be any Christmas parties or if there are some then no booze at any of them.
I've only known one person who would invite people to his Christmas party only if they brought a sleeping bag with them so they could stay the night and not have to drive. I never went to any of them but I heard someone say it was a lot of fun and turned out to be a wonderful way to get his guests to help clean up the next morning.
I never drive if I'm having a drink or two, therefore when I go out somewhere I stick to drinking coffee or water.

I just hope that her family gets through the holidays with some hope for her recovery so that if she succumbs it will happen after the New Year @jaboUK I'm not really sure if that's even a good way to think but like you I also don't think she has the strength to survive all those injuries.

This is so terrible and many would not be able to survive. The medication alone would be the end of some of us, wouldn't it?
