Well, I'm back. Now that I'm home alone again, I'm feeling a little sad, but not as bad as yesterday.
My brother picked me up, and we went to his house, where his girlfriend met us and we opened presents. I wasn't expecting it, but there were several presents for me, too.
An hour or so after we were done, we came back to the town where I live (my brother lives in just the next town over) so that we could go to dinner at my brother's girlfriend's son and daughter in law's house. Her other son, her dad and a couple of other people that I cannot remember the identity of were there, too. I was happy to be distracted.
Dinner was good, and afterward we were divided into teams of two to go in the garage and decorate gingerbread houses. LOL--I was paired with my youngest nephew--there was actually a train and a "Frozen" themed house to do--our train literally turned out to be a "train wreck", but it was fun. Seems as though unless you use actual glue, those do-it-yourself gingerbread structures rarely stay together--although a couple of the teams did pretty well.
Another Christmas is over, and 364 days to go until the next one. I hope one day I'll have a Christmas again where I won't feel sad.

I am glad that you had a lot of fun. It is always that way we all have different thoughts about Christmas and then it comes and goes away so quickly.
