We survived!!! And, just for JJ, he gets an extra day next year to wait (it’s a leap year). Hope you got things you needed, and enjoyed the day with peace. I’m ready to hit the road, including those states I have yet to see. Here’s another one of them. Haven’t visited: Oregon I hear there’s a bigass lake there. Oregon is the home of Crater Lake National Park, which is the deepest lake in North America. There’s also Mount Hood, a climbing mecca for enthusiasts (and a dormant volcano). The beauty of Cannon Beach (which has rock formations in the water near the coast). Hell’s Canyon. Why am I still sitting here? Well, at the moment, because I’m hooked up to my infusion machines, getting my cortisone treatment. But the stunning beauty of Oregon is calling me. Loudly. Crater Lake will blow you away. Photos do not do it justice. Check out Oregon Caves National Monument. Look for sea glass on the beaches. Avoid Portland. Astoria on the Columbia where "The Goonies" was filmed and with a terrific maritime museum and Victorian mansion tour. Sea lion caves.
