Day 144 Promise 194 Psalm 30:1 (A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David.) I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me. 2 O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. 3 O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. 4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. 5 For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. What makes you happy? What makes you giddy with joy? Is it your achievements? Your children? Your work? What gives you so much joy you want to sing and shout? David rejoiced daily for what God did for him. God defeated his enemies in battle. God kept him alive so he could praise him. David showed when life threw trouble his way, it was momentary because there is always joy when you give your problems to God. As Christians, you face many obstacles. Some look insurmountable. Yet, when you place your obstacles in God’s hands, your lack of finances, sickness, stress, death, God will bring you out of your trouble and bring you joy and a reason to praise Him. Yes, even death can be a cause for praise if your loved one faced a long debilitating illness. If your loved one knew Jesus as Savior and Lord, there is joy knowing your loved one is with God and your Lord Jesus Christ and you will see your loved one again. What obstacles do you face? Give it to God and let Him show you the way out and destroy all the obstacles in your path. Let’s pray: Father, You are the joy of my life. When trouble comes my way, let my praise come before You to destroy every obstacle in my path. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
